Hey y'all!

My name is Gracie Garza Harrison. I recently took on Garza, my mom's maiden name to honor both parts of myself!

I am from Houston, Texas and have lived there my entire life. I tried a lot of different things as an inquisitive child including but not limited to: ice skating, guitar, gymnastics, basketball, cross country, track, art, and choir. Nothing was really sticking with me, until I found theatre. Before this, I was quite shy and didn't know much about theatre other than that I had been singing about being "On My Own" since I was 3 years old (which a 3 year old should not understand the pain of, yet I did, or at least thought I did). I sat in my first theatre class in the first row, with my head down, terrified of speaking. However, I decided in 7th grade that I wanted to be Annie. My mom thought I had literally gone insane, me being as shy as I was, but that did not deter me in the slightest. I told my mom, "I want to be Annie", and the rest is history. I made my way to the stage around 7th grade in my first big production as Annie in Annie. I fell in love with theatre and truly became the me you will see on this page because I finally felt free.

Since then, I have gone on to study at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas which really fast tracked my trajectory into auditioning for musical theatre programs for college. After quite the college audition process, I landed myself in my dream school at Indiana University, where I am currently pursuing a B.F.A in Musical Theatre with minor in Media and Creative Advertising.

In my free time now, I love to hang out with my friends and go on silly adventures, go to the gym, and write in my journal. I hope to work in the theatre industry and beyond in a multitude of ways, but for now I am just enjoying the ride!
